Photo Reflections: Da Nang, Vietnam

Located in Central Vietnam on the coast, Da Nang is a charming city (I believe Vietnam’s fourth-largest or fifth-largest) filled with lots of cool bridges and some great spots to eat and drink. It was a strange experience as a foreigner being there . . . whereas in Cambodia everyone smiles at you (whether it’s legitimate or not), the folks in Da Nang held us almost as idols. We were asked to take photos with so many people, including one where a man asked us to hold his two year old child as he took photos of us. At first we thought it was a scam, but then we realized that no, 50 people in one area aren’t going to scam you (unless you’re in a Twilight Zone hell), and they just really like white people. We were fairly tired at this point in the adventure, but enjoyed this city quite a lot nonetheless.
