Photo Reflections: Kep, Cambodia, Part 2: Rabbit Island

Just off the coast of Kep is Rabbit Island, a small backpacker-loved resort island that has rows of bungalows in the corner of the coast and then 9/10s of the rest is either uninhabited or filled with crab fishermen. While some people go there to stay, Jason and I thought that 6 hours, a day trip, was more than enough. The boat ride from the mainland to the island, is pretty terrifying–you ride in what is, essentially, a giant canoe. That can hold 10 people. And it rocks back and forth and, if you aren’t careful, you could easily flip over the side. But everyone was careful, because of how semi-terrifying the ride is. Anyway, we walked around the entire coastline of Rabbit Island and had some nice crab dishes before heading back. All in all, it was a fairly rough-and-tumble adventure.

  1. Hi! I was just recently traveling there myself and had the exact same crab dish! Do you happen to know the recipe for the dish?
