Photo Gallery: Goodbye, Kampong Peta

During our final hours at Kampong Peta, just before we headed out to Mersing, Johor, we were given a proper tour of the actual village, which has something like 30 families. From caged monkeys to the local school to blow darts, the elements that made up the “village experience” for us were a combination of one culture’s reality and one culture’s appeal to tourism. It was light and relaxing and, as always, extremely hot. The total time in the rain forest was 3 days.
